Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-09

What this policy covers

This policy covers Peppertree's websites: www.peppertree.so and apps.peppertree.so.

It does not cover our apps. Each app has its own privacy policy, published at apps.peppertree.so/{app}/privacy. Those policies describe the app itself; this one describes the websites that host them. The two are separate, and a claim in an app's policy is about that app, not about this site.

What we collect

Analytics

Both websites use Google Analytics 4 to count page views. On apps.peppertree.so each page view is tagged with which app's documentation was viewed and what kind of page it was, so we can see which apps people are interested in. We also record when someone clicks through to the App Store or Google Play, and when a contact form is submitted successfully.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and Google receives your IP address as part of serving the request. We do not use analytics for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other websites. Our internal admin pages are excluded from analytics entirely.

Contact forms

If you submit a contact form on apps.peppertree.so, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you type, along with your IP address, the country your request came from, and the page you submitted from.

We collect nothing else. There are no accounts, no logins, and no payments on these websites.

Where it goes

Contact form submissions are stored in our own database and are also copied to:

  • Google Sheets, as a backup copy
  • Slack, as a notification so we see your message

Analytics data is held by Google. Our database is hosted on Railway, our websites run on Railway and Cloudflare, and our domains are served through Cloudflare.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services listed above.

How long we keep it

Google Analytics is configured to retain event-level data for 2 months. Aggregate page-view counts persist beyond that and we keep our own long-term copy of those totals.

Contact form submissions are kept until you ask us to delete them, so that we can follow up on support conversations.

Your choices

You can block analytics with a browser extension or by using Google's opt-out add-on. Nothing on these websites requires analytics to work.

Email us at contact@peppertree.so to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You do not need an account to make that request. Tell us the email address you used and we will find it.

Children

These websites are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through them. Individual apps that are aimed at children state so in their own policies.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly swapped in.
